THAT’S ME IN THE SPOTLIGHT

An exploration of lived experience as a creative resource for art making

This conversation will explore the intersections between artists' lives and their creative output. What types of lived experiences offer the most fertile creative resources? What are the hazards of sharing personal stories with a public audience, and how do you protect yourself? What are the tensions between an individual's experience and collective memory? Between an individual’s memory and actual fact?

FEBRUARY 15TH, 2020 - 5:30PM to 6:30PM
